Our firm
Founded in 1959 by Giuseppe Colombo’s intuition, Plasticol was born as a craft enterprise specialising in luggage and leather goods products. Success was immediate: the company became a trusted supplier of the most prestigious Made in Italy fashion brands in just a few years.
In 1972 the company’s headquarter and production department was moved from Busto Arsizio to the nearby town of Samarate, where the new warehouse of around 2.000 square meters was inaugurated. The craftsmen company starts to expand without losing the identity that has always distinguished it.
Over the years, the company has increased and diversified its range of products, materials and services. This is the turning point that allowed Plasticol to forge more and more relationships with both Italian and foreign companies.
In 2010, a further expansion was undertaken: the production building was enlarged to a covered area of 3.000 square meters, while the extrusion lines were increased from 10 to 12. In addition, a brand new solar panels plant has been installed, enabling the company to produce and process plastic materials in total respect of the environment.
Our company has always stood out for its innovative spirit thanks to professional and forward-looking management. Investments in Research & Development have paid off, allowing the company to build an excellent reputation and a growing list of loyal customers.
What differentiates Plasticol from other companies in the sector is how we approach our work: we do not have a standard product. That’s why those who turn to us know they can count on tailor-made products designed specifically to meet their needs.
Today our products are used by the most prestigious companies in the packaging, jewellery, fashion, household appliance, construction, solar and insect protection, doors and windows, automotive, furniture and industrial sectors in general.
